Over the past decade, dermatology has undergone a remarkable transformation. Research continues to affirm what many of us have long suspected — that dermatologic diseases are not isolated conditions, but integral reflections of systemic inflammation, immune dysfunction, and hormonal change. Our field now intersects meaningfully with rheumatology, allergy and immunology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and even oncology. The medications we use daily reach far beyond one specialty, reminding us that patient health is a shared story across disciplines.

The Collaborative Care Summit 2025 (CCS 2025) validated that truth in powerful ways. We witnessed robust dialogue among physicians, APPs, and pharmacists. We explored how comorbidities and psychosocial health intertwine, and how multidisciplinary teamwork can directly elevate patient outcomes. Most importantly, we saw the enthusiasm of our community—proof that collaborative care is not just a concept, but a movement in motion.

As we look ahead to CCS 2026, we are expanding our reach, our partnerships, and our purpose. Building on the success of 2025, our next summit will continue to feature our four core specialties—dermatology, rheumatology, allergy/immunology, and gastroenterology—while deepening the conversation across even more disciplines. We’ll welcome new perspectives from psychiatry, oncology, women’s health, and endocrinology, exploring the emerging connections between the gut and the skin, hormones and inflammation, and the immune system and chronic urticaria. We’ll also address the evolving roles of pharmacists as integral members of the care team and highlight new insights into perimenopause, Sjögren’s and mucocutaneous diseases, and psychodermatology.

The Collaborative Care Summit 2026 will once again feature two immersive days of interdisciplinary learning in an open dialogue format. Through challenging, real-world patient cases, attendees will learn how to coordinate care, determine treatment leadership, and identify opportunities for shared therapeutic responsibility.

Our mission at Diversity in Dermatology remains steadfast: to bridge the gaps between specialties, foster mutual understanding, and improve the lives of patients through connected care. By partnering with us, your organization helps lead this evolution—advancing science, supporting education, and shaping the collaborative care model of the future.

We invite you to join us in this next chapter of innovation and integration. The Collaborative Care Summit 2026, will be held September 12 – 13 at the Hilton Orlando. We look forward to welcoming over 150 healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing collaborative care. Together, we can redefine how care is delivered—and how patients thrive.
