Risha Bellomo Executive Director

Risha Bellomo is the Founder and CEO of BCI Management & Communications, which she develops medical education programs, manages national and regional meetings, establishes strategic business plans for organizations and companies, and speaks on financial empowerment and building wealth patiently and intelligently.  She has over 25 years of healthcare experience; and practiced as a dermatology physician assistant for 22 years before transitioning entirely into entrepreneurship.

Risha Bellomo is the co-founder of Diversity in Dermatology and the Diversified Dermatology Education Foundation. She is extremely passionate about giving back to her profession, to build platforms for medical professionals to increase not only their knowledge, but to elevate their careers and bring restorative balance to their lives.

Risha Bellomo has been married for 24 years and has two beautiful sons, Austin and Enzo. She is proud to call herself, “GiGi: to her grandson, Rohnin.  Risha is an avid video game player and has been gaming since she was 8 years old.

Tracee Blackburn, PA-C

Tracee Blackburn is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant, nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the state of Illinois. She has been serving in the healthcare industry since 1998 and has specialized as a PA in Dermatology since 2005. She also had the privilege of practicing in Adolescent and Pediatric Health and enjoys interacting with and treating children and teens. Tracee graduated from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois in 2005. She has worked in several entities of healthcare, but found her passion in Dermatology where she has extensive experience in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Her special interests are anything that has to do with skin and hair, but specifically; acne, alopecia, eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and skin lesions. Tracee likes to focus her attention on patient education, as she believes it is a vital part to every patient’s recovery.  She also holds a Masters degree in Integrative Medicine and specializes in Integrative Dermatology, She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and an active member and former President and Director at Large of the Illinois SDPA.  She enjoys volunteering her time where needed, such as the National Eczema Association, and has also participated in medical mission trips with CHAI to Haiti. Currently she is serving as the Co-chair of Integrative Dermatology for Diversity in Dermatology.  

Tracee is a published author and has written three childrens’ books entitled “Wally The Wart”, “Xzema, A Children’s Guide to Happy Skin”, and “My Eczellent Day at Camp” ( in collaboration with Sanofi-Regeneron.)  She is also a speaker, mentor, and creator of Project Skin-X, her passion project to help those in need of their dermatologic concerns, while helping to boost their self-confidence.

When she is not at work or driving her daughter around to social events and auditions, she loves to travel and is completing assignments for her DMSc, expected in 2025

Roni Bolton, MSN, FNP-C

Roni Bolton, MSN, FNP-C is a board-certified nurse practitioner. Her patients lovingly call her Nurse Roni B. She opened PSRx Body and Skin in 2018 after gaining considerable experience in dermatology, plastic surgery, and aesthetic medicine. Nurse Roni B. received her Masters of Nursing Practice at Rush University in Chicago and is currently pursuing her doctorate. She has gained special clinical experience in dermatology through Illinois Dermatology Institute and Advocate Pediatric Dermatology and is a member of the Dermatology Nurse’s Association.

Ahuva Cices, MD

Dr. Cices is a comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatologist. She provides personalized, compassionate care to all her patients. Having trained in New York City and completed a fellowship at the Mount Sinai Skin of Color Center, Dr. Cices is well prepared to care for patients of all skin types and backgrounds.

Dr. Cices graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Biology from Rutgers University. She earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society and was the recipient of the prestigious American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Award for academic excellence. After medical school, Dr. Cices completed her medical internship at Mount Sinai, followed by a two-year dermatopharmacology fellowship at Mount Sinai as part of the Skin of Color Center. She also completed her dermatology residency at Mount Sinai, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.

Dr. Cices has served as an investigator in numerous clinical trials involving a wide range of skin conditions, is well published in peer-reviewed medical journals and textbooks and has presented her research at national medical and aesthetic dermatology conferences.

Adrianna Cruz, MD

Adriana R. Cruz, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist with more than 20 years of clinical, academic, and research experience. Trained at Universidad del Valle and UConn Health, she has led initiatives in STDs, tropical dermatology, integrative dermatology, and Medical Affairs across Latin America and the United States. She currently practices dermatology and contributes to population-health and value-based-care programs in Southern Maryland. Committed to social responsibility, Adriana has participated in community health brigades serving underserved regions. Beyond her professional life, she is a proud mother of three, happily married, and finds joy in nature, outdoor adventures, and time with loved ones.

Diego Dasilva, MD, FAAD

Dr. Diego Ruiz Dasilva is an Ivy-League trained, board-certified dermatologist practicing in Virginia Beach and Hampton, Virginia. He was born in Brazil and raised in South Florida where he attended the University of Miami for his undergraduate degree and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and the Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society. He graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Art History, Biology, and Chemistry. Dr. Dasilva was then granted a full scholarship to attend the prestigious Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He subsequently completed his internship and Dermatology Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, the top-ranked dermatology residency program in the country. He received rigorous training in adult and pediatric dermatology at some of the nation’s best hospitals with world-renowned experts in dermatology which allowed him to develop an expertise in chronic pruritus, psychodermatology/dysesthesia, skin of color, skin cancer, nail surgery, and cosmetics.

Dr. Dasilva has authored several scientific papers in prestigious publications such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and the Dermatology Online Journal.

Dr. Dasilva specializes in both pediatric and adult dermatology, practicing medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. In his free time, he enjoys playing/watching basketball, exercising, wine tasting, traveling, and spending time with his wife, young son, and daughter. He’s thrilled to become a part of this beautiful community.

Dr. Dasilva is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Scott Drew, DO, FAAD

Scott Drew is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in Marion, OH since 1992.  A graduate of A. T.Still University of Health Sciences, he completed a rotating internship at Normandy Hospitals in St Louis,MO, a Family Practice in Stratford, NJ, and a Dermatology Residency at Deaconess Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.  He is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Family Practice.

Drew practices medical and surgical dermatology provides cosmetic dermatologic services and engages in multiplel dermatologic research protocols at five locations in central Ohio. He is published in numerous peer reviewed journals, contributed posters to scientific symposia and congresses, and authored chapters in medical textbooks.  Drew enjoys didactic, bedside and podium education, and meeting with Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and students to share his dermatologic expertise.  He has spoken from podiums extensively, both domestically and abroad on topics in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.  He has accepted invitations to lecture in 43 states and on five continents.

Dr. Drew believes in the power of volunteerism.  He is the Vice President for dermatologic services for Power of a Nickel, an organization coupling international medical outreach with international medical student education.  He has participated in over 20 medical missions to clinics in Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, India, Vietnam, Peru, Cuba and Nicaragua.   Locally, Drew works with Hispanic Charities in Marion, OH and has served on the local boards of the YMCA, Rotary International, and United Way.

He believes in the power of education.  He serves on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, A.T. Still University, having completed 3 terms as its chair, providing mission and vision supervisory guidance to its two medical schools, two dental schools, school of allied health professionals and college of graduate studies.  He was instrumental in the foundation of the Global Health Scholars fellowship program, funding scholarships for diverse populations.  He also serves on the Board of Directors for his alma mater high school, Bishop McNamara, in Forestville, MD, partnering them with a sister Holy Cross school in Gulu, Uganda.

Personally, Dr Drew and his wife, Pam, have two adult children, Delaney and Danny, and enjoy travel, history as well as family and friends.

Terry Faleye, MPAS, PA-C

Terry has worked as a physician assistant in the field of dermatology since 2009. She has expertise in both medical and cosmetic dermatology.

She is a native Houstonian, graduating from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 2003. After earning an early admission to UTMB Galveston Physician Assistant program, she received her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. Terry leads the Houston Derm PA/PA Society and is a committee chair on the Diversity in Dermatology Board.

She is passionate about medical dermatology and the management of inflammatory diseases associated with dermatology. She has lectured nationally on the topics of psoriasis, hidradentis suppurative and atopic dermatitis. Her special interests include acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, skin of color and skin malignancies.  Along with her expertise in medical dermatology, Terry is adept with dermal fillers, Dysport and Botox injections.   

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, attending extracurricular activities. She also enjoys exploring the Houston restaurant scene.   

Terry was recently honored as the President – Elect of the Board of Directors of the Texas Society of Dermatology Professional Associates for the 2024-2026 term. She continues to support the society members by facilitating and organizing educational events, workshops, and networking opportunities to help them enhance their knowledge and make professional connections.                                    

Ted Rosen, MD

Dr. Rosen, a native of Chicago. attended Michigan State University as a National Merit Scholar, and graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School cum laude. He trained in internal medicine at the University of Alabama and dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine, where he currently serves as Professor and Vice-Chair. Dr. Rosen served on the Board of Directors and is past Vice-President of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also past-President and Secretary-Treasurer of the Houston Dermatological Society and prior Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer of the Dermatology Section, Southern Medical Association. Dr. Rosen was the 2017 recipient of the AAD Thomas G. Pearson Memorial Award for lifelong achievement in education and the 2021 recipient of the Robert J. Freeman Memorial Leadership and Mentoring Award from the Texas Dermatological Society. Dr. Rosen has written over 325 peer-reviewed journal articles, 28 textbook chapters and 4 textbooks, including the award-winning Atlas of Black Dermatology. Dr. Rosen has given over 500 CME talks, including plenary presentations to the national dermatology societies of: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Italy, South Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, and Taiwan. On a personal note, he is an avid numismatist and fan of horror films, but is most proud of having helped raise four rational, debt-free and productive adult children.

Naiem Issa, MD, PhD

Naiem Issa, M.D., Ph.D, FAAD is a dermatologist with Forefront Dermatology practicing in Vienna, Virginia, Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery, Clinical Assistant Professor at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Clinical Instructor at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Issa received his M.D. and Ph.D. from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his internship in General Surgery at Washington Hospital Center. He then completed a post-doctoral research fellowship and Dermatology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. His Ph.D. is in Tumor Biology from within the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University Medical Center with a focus on computational methods for drug discovery. His work is particularly focused on repurposing of current FDA approved drugs for new dermatologic and cancer indications. Dr. Issa’s research interests include drug discovery for hair loss, vascular malformations such as Sturge-Weber Syndrome and healing of chronic wounds. His major research accomplishments have been the repurposing of the anti-hookworm medication mebendazole as a kinase inhibitor and anti-angiogenic for various malignancies and the discovery of the first small molecule drug to directly inhibit the GNAQ protein implicated in Sturge-Weber Syndrome.

Dr. Issa is a nationally and internationally recognized lecturer and has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and two textbook chapters across various disciplines within dermatology and drug discovery. He has received research funding support from the Sturge-Weber Foundation, Dermatology Foundation, and the University of Miami Scientific Advisory Committee. He is also inventor of a patent on CBD nanoparticles combined with minoxidil for hair regrowth and a pending patent on a novel anesthetic combination for ambulatory skin surgeries designed to reduce the need for epinephrine.  

Meena Julapalli, MD

Growing up in Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas, Dr. Julapalli is a Southern girl through and through. She graduated cum laude from Rice University with a B.A. in Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations. She completed medical school, pediatrics residency, and dermatology residency at Baylor College of Medicine and fellowship training in pediatric dermatology at the University of Colorado. She became board-certified in pediatrics, dermatology, and pediatric dermatology, and served on faculty at Dell Children’s Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Colorado as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology. After practicing for the last 7 years in Austin and Denver, Dr. Julapalli knew it was time to return to her hometown of Houston, Texas. She is proud and excited to help her fellow Houstonians with all their unique skin care needs!

As a pediatric dermatologist, Dr. Julapalli has a passion for providing comprehensive care that acknowledges and supports more than just the physical aspects of her patients’ skin conditions, but also the social and emotional needs of her patients as well. She believes that when children and families affected by skin disease have a space and community where they feel loved and supported, it empowers and transforms them in profound and life-changing ways. On her journey to become a pediatric dermatologist, Dr. Julapalli has been blessed to facilitate and witness these transformations through her involvement with support groups and camp programs for children and families affected by skin disease. She currently serves on the leadership team of the American Academy of Dermatology-sponsored Camp Discovery Texas, on the Medical Advisory Committee for Paul Newman’s SeriousFun Network camp Roundup River Ranch in Colorado, and as a national board member of the American Camp Association.

In addition to her philanthropic pursuits in her local and national community, Dr. Julapalli has also been dedicated to serving children abroad. She has volunteered her time and expertise at a pediatric HIV/AIDS clinic in Lesotho, Africa, at orphanages and schools in Nicaragua, with children and adults with albinism in Tanzania, and most recently with people in impoverished villages in northern Thailand.

In her spare time, Dr. Julapalli loves making memories with her friends and family, especially her beautiful nephews. You will often find her fanatically supporting her beloved Houston Astros and Rockets, New Orleans Saints, and Alabama Crimson Tide football teams, hiking up 14,000+ ft mountains, exploring the world and being invigorated by all the beauty that surrounds us (she recently traveled to Antarctica to complete her bucket list dream of setting foot on all 7 continents!), enjoying and playing music in all its forms, spreading love and kindness, and being the quintessential kid at heart who always finds the joy in even the smallest of things.

Karan Lal, DO, FAAD

Dr. Karan Lal is a double board-certified dermatologist, who specializes in pediatrics and adult dermatology, laser surgery, soft tissue filler augmentation, body sculpting, and pigmentary abnormalities of the skin and enjoys treating patients from birth onwards.He is on the ELLE magazine and Good Housekeeping medical advisory boards. He is an internationally renowned speaker.

Walter Liszewski, MD

Walter Liszewski is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Cancer Epidemiology at Northwestern University in Chicago. He runs one of the busiest patch testing clinics in the country where he tests over 50 patients per month. Dr. Liszewski has served on the board of the American Contact Dermatitis Society, and he has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers. At Northwestern, he serves as the clinic practice director, runs numerous clinical trials, and he has specialty clinics in atopic dermatitis, chronic urticaria, and men’s health. In his spare time, he enjoys playing retro video games. 

Ginger Lore, Attorney at Law

Ginger earned an undergraduate degree in Communication from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida in 1994. After college she relocated to Orlando and worked for a law firm for several years. Ginger attended law school at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2002. During law school she worked as a law clerk for a well-respected plaintiff’s personal injury firm.

Ginger and her husband returned to the Orlando area in 2002. For several years she worked in the area of insurance defense for a well-known Orlando firm where she primarily handled medical malpractice and premises liability matters.

Ginger also served as in-house counsel for a small company and handled family law matters before finding her true passion in the area of estate planning, probate, elder law and guardianship.

Ginger served as a Guardian ad Litem for children who have been neglected and abused for 3 years and served on the board for Lift Disability Network for 2 years. She has also served as a Guardian ad Litem for injured children since 2008. Ginger is an active member of her community and enjoys spending time with her family and running.

Ginger enjoys working with clients of all ages and their families to plan for the future or to resolve current legal issues.

Todd Schlesinger, MD, FAAD

Dr. Todd Schlesinger is a board-certified dermatologist, Mohs surgeon and clinical investigator. He completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and is the founder of a three-office dermatology and dermatologic surgery practice and clinical research center. His areas of research focus are inflammatory dermatoses, cutaneous oncology, and cosmetic dermatology. He is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications as well as several book chapters and numerous presentations and posters at national and international conferences. He is past president of the South Carolina Medical Association, the South Carolina Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and the current Editor in Chief of the AAD’s ongoing member CME program Dialogues in Dermatology.

Shanna M. Miranti, MPAS, PA-C

Shanna Miranti grew up in Ormond Beach, FL and is the oldest of her 3 siblings…a Podiatrist, a Derm PA, and a Lawyer (who had the good sense to marry another Derm PA!) She got her undergraduate degree from Loyola University in New Orleans with a major in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. She received her Masters/PA degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. Shanna has practiced Dermatology for 19 years in both Jacksonville and Naples, and was the founding PA for Riverchase Dermatology. She is passionate about dermatology education, and has taught Dermatology to the PA students at NSU-Ft. Myers PA program for 9 years, guest lecturer at FGCU for over 15 years. Shanna lectures nationally to her dermatology colleagues, school nurses, athletic trainers, high school and college students, and to patients in the community. She is also the mother of 4 children under 12 years old…in her spare time.

Marc Serota, MD

Dr. Marc Serota is triple board certified in dermatology, allergy/asthma/immunology and pediatrics.  He is in private practice in Denver Colorado and attends the dermatology residents and the University of Colorado and VA hospitals.   After graduating medical school at the age of 23 he pursued 8 additional years of training.  He completed a pediatrics residency at Cohen’s Children’s Hospital in New York, then completed an allergy/asthma/immunology fellowship at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City and then completed a second residency in dermatology at the University of Colorado.  He has published numerous textbook chapters, online reference articles and peer-reviewed articles in the areas of dermatologic and allergic diseases.

Brittany Scurto, PA-C

Brittany Scurto is a board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes in Medical, Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology as well as Integrative Medicine. She graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science with a Master’s Degree in 2006. Prior to specializing in Dermatology in 2015, Brittany practiced in a number of different medical fields including Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Surgery and Urgent Care. Her passion lies in treating the whole person and she strives to help her patients understand their medical conditions and improve their well-being through partnership and education. Brittany’s goal is to assure that her patients are not only healthy on the inside, but confident about their outside as well. Brittany loves to educate and often speaks about various medical topics. She also teaches pre-PA, PA and medical students. Brittany is currently the Medical Language chair and Integrative Medicine co-chair of Diversity in Dermatology. She values a strong work life balance that allows her to spend quality time with her 2 children, friends and family. She is an avid reader who enjoys cooking, dancing and singing. Having lived and worked abroad, she also loves to travel and donate her time/resources to various non-profit organizations. Brittany speaks fluent conversational and medical Spanish.

Tracey C. Vlahovic, DPM

Dr. Vlahovic is a Clinical Professor and J. Stanley and Pearl Landau Faculty Fellow at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM) in Philadelphia, PA.  She is also a member of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow). 

Dr Vlahovic graduated from Yale University with a BS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and received her medical degree from TUSPM.  After finishing her surgical residency at St Luke’s University Health Network in Allentown, PA, she was the first podiatrist in the US to complete a fellowship in podiatric dermatology under the supervision of Stephen Schleicher, MD. 

She is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and in podiatric medicine by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Vlahovic currently teaches the Fundamentals of Dermatology course at TUSPM and has received numerous teaching awards. She has authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals and is involved in multiple clinical research trials for various dermatological therapies and devices.

She is the author of Skin Disease of the Lower Extremities:  A Photographic Guide (HMP Communications) and Onychomycosis:  An Illustrated Guide to Diagnosis and Treatment along with Antonella Tosti and Roberto Arenas (Springer).

Cindy Sershen, DNP, DCNP, FNP-BC

Cindy Sershen, DNP, DCNP, FNP-BC is a board-certified Dermatology Nurse Practitioner. Cindy has been practicing Dermatology since she completed a fellowship in Dermatology in 2011. She practices at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, Lexington, and Peabody, MA. She completed a doctorate at University of Massachusetts in 2025; her project focused on improving affirming care for LGBTQ+ patients. She serves as clinical faculty for the Lahey Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Training Program, precepting and mentoring fellows. She has experience working with a diverse patient population in many settings, including: community health centers and global health. She provides care in both English and Spanish. Her clinical interests include: acne, hair loss, skin of color, transgender care, and providing equitable and inclusive care to all. Cindy enjoys giving educational lectures and frequently precepts NP students. In her spare time, she enjoys concert going and running.

Lisa Swanson, MD

Dr. Swanson is a board-certified dermatologist and pediatric dermatologist. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. She attended college at the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating with honors as an English major. After that she obtained her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She performed her internship at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, and went on to complete her dermatology residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. After that, she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Arizona.

She is a past Treasure, Vice President and President of the Colorado Dermatologic Society. She is an active lecturer at conferences discussing pediatric dermatology with audiences across the country. She has been selected as a “Top Doc” by 5280 Magazine in 2012 through 2019. She is on staff at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children where she sees hospital consults and performs procedures.

Emmy Graber, MD, MBA

Emmy M. Graber, MD, MBA is the Founder of The Dermatology Institute of Boston, a private practice in Boston, Massachusetts. With over ten years experience, Dr. Graber treats a wide range of dermatologic issues and specializes in acne and cosmetic dermatology. She is currently an Affiliate Clinical Instructor at Northeastern University and has extensive experience teaching students of all types.

Dr. Graber received her BS in Biology at The Pennsylvania State University and was a member of the Schreyer Honors College. She also completed her medical training at The Pennsylvania State University and graduated with membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. After an internship in Internal Medicine, she underwent Dermatology residency training at The Pennsylvania State University/Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. During this time she received the Intern Of The Year Award and was selected by her peers for a Humanism and Excellence In Teaching Award.

Following her residency training, Dr. Graber further specialized with fellowship training in Laser and Cosmetic Surgery at SkinCare Physicians of Chestnut Hill. She then practiced dermatology with that group for two years prior to working at Boston University. At Boston University, Dr. Graber was Director of the BU Cosmetic and Laser Center.  She was also the associate residency program director and taught many medical students, resident physicians and international physicians in-training.  In 2014 Dr. Graber completed her MBA at the University of Pennsylvania’s esteemed Wharton School of Business.

Dr. Graber has academic interests in acne, acne scars and cosmetic dermatology.  She has lectured and written extensively on these subjects in scientific journals and serves on the board of directors of the American Acne and Rosacea Society.  Additionally, Dr. Graber is frequently cited in the media as an authority in dermatology. Dr. Graber is a regular contributor on national public radio (NPR) and her expert opinions can be seen in O Magazine, InStyle Magazine, and Good Housekeeping Magazine amongst other national media sources.

 

John Koo, MD

Dr. Koo graduated from Harvard Medical School.  He is board certified in both Psychiatry and Dermatology.  He finished his dermatology residency at University of California San Francisco Medical Center and Psychiatry residency at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute.  He has been a faculty at University of California San Francisco Medical Center Department of Dermatology.  He has more than 300 peer reviewed publications.  He is the chief editor for a two volume textbook on psoriasis where “mild to moderate psoriasis” volume is now in its third edition and “moderate to severe psoriasis” is in its fourth edition.  This two volume textbooks is one of the most widely used in USA.  Dr. Koo was named “best researcher in dermatology” at SID meeting.  He also received the “best speaker” award at Fall Clinical Conference.    He received the best mentor award from UCSF.  Lastly, he was honored for “lifetime achievement award” by National Psoriasis Foundation.   

Leon Kircik, MD

Dr. Kircik is a Board Certified Dermatologist who graduated with AOA Honors from State University of New York at the Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn after completing his undergraduate work with Phi Beta Kappa at New York University. He completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship under the auspices of Dr. Frederick Mohs at the University of Wisconsin after completing his dermatology residency at State University of New York in Buffalo.

He currently teaches as Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN, as well as Clinical Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Kircik is also the Medical Director of DermResearch, PLLC, Physicians Skin Care, PLLC and Skin Sciences, PLLC in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been the principal investigator of numerous clinical trials for psoriasis, acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, skin cancers, and actinic keratosis, just to name a few.

Dr. Kircik is an author of many scientific articles, abstracts and posters. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally on all aspects of dermatologic conditions. In addition, he also serves on the advisory boards of several pharmaceutical companies as a consultant. He is on the editorial board of Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, Practical Dermatology, The Journal of Clinical & Aesthetic Dermatology, and Case Report in Clinical Pathology. He volunteers for multiple local and national medical society committees.

George Cohen, MD

Dr. George Cohen is a 1977 graduate of Howard University College of Medicine.  He finished his residency at Howard University Hospital Department of Dermatology in 1981 and has been a practicing board certified dermatologist for over 39 years.

Dr. Cohen has worked as a dermatologist in private practice, for large HMOs, for the Veterans’ Affairs Hospital and has worked as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force Reserves.

He has held numerous academic positions including Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of South Florida, Associate Professor at the University of Florida and most recently has Clinical Professor and the founding program director at the Florida State University College Medicine division of Dermatology.

His areas of interest and expertise include; medical dermatology, telemedicine, treatment of keloids and the skin cancer in the Afro-American population.

Hilary Baldwin, MD

Hilary Baldwin is a board-certified dermatologist and medical director of the Acne Treatment & Research Center in Brooklyn, NY.   She is a clinical associate professor of dermatologist at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center.  Dr. Baldwin has interests in acne, rosacea, keloidal scarring, cosmeceuticals and the skin microbiome.  She is a frequent national and international lecturer and visiting professor, and her work has been published extensively in dermatology journals. Dr. Baldwin served as a founding board member and second president of the American Acne and Rosacea Society.

Rob Casquejo, PA-C

Skin and Cancer Center of Scottsdale

Originally from Michigan, Robert graduated with honors from Michigan State University holding a degree in Biology. He completed his degree in the PA program of Western Michigan University in 1999. He began his career on the trauma surgery service at the Toledo Hospital, and in the emergency department of University of Michigan Hospital, for three years. 

His experience in dermatology began in 2002, and to date his experiences include medical, surgical and cosmetic care, as well as management of patients in a psoriasis treatment center. He is a member, clinical instructor, and consultant to the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and a co-founder and former executive officer of both the Michigan and Arizona Dermatology PA Societies. Currently he serves on the Arizona state society PA legislative affairs committee, is a consultant to multiple pharmaceutical companies, and is a host for the SDPA’s Dermcast TV. 

In March of 2012, Rob founded the Skin and Cancer Center of Scottsdale in Scottsdale, AZ. As the CEO and founder, he continues to have a passion for the development of PA/ physician relations, clinical instruction, and entrepreneurship. He also continues to pursue his passion for humanitarian efforts in AZ and other states, and has participated in international medical missions in the Philippines and Africa.

Jeffrey T.S. Hsu, M.D., FAAD

Dr. Jeffrey T.S. Hsu is a fellowship-trained, board-certified dermatologist with expertise in neurotoxins, laser surgery, Mohs micrographic surgery, fat grafting, soft tissue augmentation, and scar revision.  Dr. Hsu specializes in minimally invasive techniques for facial and body rejuvenation.

Dr. Hsu graduated with distinction from Stanford University where he earned the coveted President’s Award for academic achievement.  He received his medical degree from University of California at Los Angeles, earning top honors along the way.  He then completed an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic.  He pursued further training by completing a Laser and Cosmetic Surgery fellowship under the direction of faculty from Harvard University and Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Hsu is also passionately involved in teaching and academic pursuits.  He is an internationally recognized expert in dermatologic and cosmetic surgery, frequently invited to teach other physicians in Asia, Australia, and Europe while continuing to care for his patients at home.  He has already co-authored several widely used textbooks; the latest publication is the Manual of Dermatologic Therapeutics 8th Edition.  He is the author of numerous scientific articles in leading dermatology journals and is regularly invited to present his newest techniques and his latest scientific discoveries at national and international conferences.  Dr. Hsu is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois-Chicago.  Dr. Hsu’s memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Society for Mohs Surgery, International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the American College of Phlebology, and the American Medical Association.
