A 28-year-old male with no past medical history presents to his PCP with a burning, itching eruption on the face,
across the trunk, and extending down the extremities. He has noticed this rash for the last two months, though there
are periods when it is not present at all. He reports that the rash "moves around." The rash does not leave any
scarring, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or bruising.
The patient isn't sure if there is any correlation between food and the rash. He is on no medications and has not
suffered from any illnesses as of late. He has tried avoiding certain foods such as dairy and gluten and has not
seen any changes. He reports no joint pain, hair loss, or oral ulcers. Past medical history is unremarkable for any
food or drug allergies, and there is no family history of recurrent rashes or allergies.
