Activity Overview

The course explores the rise of chronic and autoimmune diseases, the role of gut health in dermatologic conditions, the prevalence of food additives and environmental toxins, and the impact of stress and burnout on healthcare providers. Learners also explore trending health topics such as the use of cannabinoids and the controversy around gluten consumption. By integrating nutritional science, environmental health, and holistic wellness, the course
empowers healthcare professionals to make informed decisions for themselves and better counsel their patients.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for an audience of Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistants.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the relationship between gut health and skin health
  • Identify common food additives, toxins, and environmental chemicals that may contribute to chronic illness and dermatologic conditions
  • Discuss the role of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), gluten, and trans fats in contributing to or exacerbating skin and systemic diseases.
  • Recognize the signs and contributing factors of healthcare provider burnout.
  • Evaluate current research and clinical relevance of cannabinoids and gluten sensitivity.

Criteria for Success

To obtain a certificate of completion, a score of 80% or better on the post-test is required. Please proceed with the activity until
you have successfully completed this program, answered all test questions, completed the post-test and evaluation, and have
received a digital copy of your certificate. You must participate in the entire activity to receive credit. There is no fee to
